Lindt Dark Chocolate with Fleur de Sel – this is a new favourite I just discovered. Completely delicious, completely addictive, I could easily eat 2 bars a day but try to limit myself to 2 squares a day if possible. I am not someone who goes nutso over chocolate, I don’t even normally care about it that much, but this salty chocolate combination is pretty special.

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn – I first read this book when I was about 11 or 12. I’ve probably re-read it in its entirety another 12 times and I know I couldn’t even count how many times I’ve just picked it up and read randomly from it. I wish I could explain to you why I like it, but I’m not really very good at book reports (as you can see here). Anyway, I’ve always loved the descriptions of the food in this book, and for some reason I related to the main character Francie. There was a movie made of this, I thought it sucked, I couldn’t even watch the whole thing; it was a very white-washed version of a book that wasn’t always pretty.
Stupid and gay (in the 80’s way) collectibles – I can’t pass up junk, it’s a problem really and has contributed to the maniacal clutter in my home. Having said that, I feel pretty happy when I make a new and useless find. My latest can be seen above.

Abandoned Places – I love going to abandoned places, taking pictures, nosing around. It’s nerdy, but I’m pretty interested in finding out the history of places and buildings. My idea of a good road trip is finding and visiting a ghost town or other abandoned location. There are a few places I still want to get to in Ontario, and I bet there are some great places in the U.S. I need to see.

Sushi – I love sushi! I dislike California rolls though, I don’t really consider that sushi, the California roll is kind of what sushi scaredy cats order so they can feel like they are having sushi. Actually, I pretty much love fish and all seafood, cooked or not. I could eat it every day.
Photoshop – Photoshop, I love you, we should get married or at least have a passionate love affair. Oh wait, I think we already are having one.
this list could go on and on and on…. I suppose the idea of favourites is that you whittle down your likes to a fine and exclusive list of tops. I can’t do that though, there are too many things I really love! I’ll stop now and maybe continue later.
