I’m really excited, FINALLY we booked a campsite, and it’s an amazing one, has a waterfall at the back of it, will be able to hear the water all night, I can’t wait! This is what I wanted to spend my summer doing, and although we’ve done some pretty decent stuff and spent some pretty good time outdoors, this is something I am really looking forward to.

I’ve also been investigating this program where you can basically travel almost anywhere in the world to help out on various mostly organic farms. Your obligation is 5 hours per day of help (which is really nothing, I mean, you could be free to do your own thing by noon every day!) and their obligation is food and board. There are some pretty nice options available and this sounds like a pretty cool and inexpensive way to do a bit of travelling. I’ve read some good things about it and am exploring it further with an eye towards next year.
