a few things I don’t particularly like:

Keeping secrets, omissions, furtiveness, sneakiness and lack of honesty and doing things behind my back because there is something not quite on the up and up about them.

If you don’t do any of these things, we are going to get along great. Do even one of them and I honestly will have a hard time finding good feelings for you ever again. And I think that is perfectly reasonable. Sorry, I’m not Dr. Phil and I think forgiveness might actually be codeword for sucker or at the very least means “please, by all means continue to be a dodgy fucker at my ultimate expense”, in some language I don’t know about.
