got a new great travel plan in my head, really want to go to Laos, have you seen the prices, unbelievable!! The prices are so low (think $8 a night US) that I think I'd almost feel guilty about it! The flights out that way are the pricey part.
Anyway, these are two of the locations I am considering so far. Kingfisher Ecolodge and Rivertime Resort and Ecolodge.
I'm sure there are lots more possibilities so I will be exploring them as time goes by. I'm aiming for November...quite a ways away... but gives me lots of time to keep saving money for all this (I'm up to about $1600 so far).
I'm terrified of flying and this is what I'd call MAJOR fly time... but fuck it...I want to do this and so...hello 20 hours of heavy sedation!!
I'm ridiculously excited at even the prospect of planning this. I've NEVER even considered such a trip! Isn't that sad?

Going somewhere really exotic is cool. I went to China for 10 days and it was like being on a different planet. We went into some places where they'd never seen a white person.
