i have to do treadmill tonight and also some other specific exercises, HAVE TO, it's part of my physio for my messed up knees, but this is good in a way because it forces me to do something in conjunction with my healthier diet, win-win all around I think!

In case you were wondering, I am still not smoking, I did have a couple the last time I went out and it didn't make me fall off the non-smoking wagon and it didn't send me into spasms of cigarette cravings and in fact I don't think about it all except when I'm specifically talking about my health, so yeah, Yay me!! In fact, the beautiful reality is that I had those smokes because I was drinking and realized that THEY DIDN'T TASTE GOOD TO ME ANYMORE! I was more in love with the ritual of smoking and the having something to do with my hands anyway.

Gage, hang in there. You're half-way there.
I quit about 5 years ago... and about 15 years ago... and about 25 years ago, so I ought to know.

Quitters never win!!

well, I've won back my ability to climb stairs without suffocating so that's a pretty good win!

I don't have any issues whatsoever with people smoking, I refuse to be one of those sort of ex-smokers who preach, but for me personally after over 25 years of smoking, the benefits far outweigh any joy I got by smoking. God, I can actually enjoy moving more than just my hand to my mouth!

i sometimes try to think about why it is i smoke, since i pretty much don't like actually smoking. it's more the hanging out on breaks, something to keep you company if you have to do something like 'wait' somewhere...
yeah. so maybe knitting would be a better habit. i'm sure it would so there has to be a desire to be 'naughty' too? anyway...
