I'm pretty sure that I don't, even the most impressive of things are revealed to be tricks and shams ultimately, the world is designed to disappoint you.

or maybe we are designed to disappoint ourselves, and by default, each other too.

If we could remove all sentimentality we would be better off, to be able to start over with a fresh slate whenever we wanted, how amazing would that be?

all those bleeding hearts would scream that who we were informs who we are etc. etc. but that's not true, we can all change everything about ourselves any time we want, if we really want.  We can.
