hoping for lots of camping this summer, actually should be able to go for the first time soon, yay, love camping, I'm thinking we better get on the reservation thing soon though, best places are filling up already.

Getting cable TV today, we are so 1970's, this is big excitement, bunny ears can go away, now D can watch hockey at home when he doesn't feel like going out for it (HA, yeah, I don't think I'm as much fun to watch with, so I imagine he'll still want to go out for it) or at least people can come over to watch, what a novelty, I only have a couple of lame shows I watch, now I don't have to watch them on my laptop, cool!

don't get me wrong, I still like the idea of no TV. So far we are still behind the curve, only getting old-fashioned cable TV, no digital or Satellite. I know, it's a total cop-out even getting that, but I'll never go back to mindlessly wasting hours in front of the TV with hundreds of channels, you just want options, you know?

oh yeah, wanted to tell you the first little tomato seedlings are just starting to poke through the soil, exciting! Oh, forgot to take photos... ok tonight I will.

you're doomed!! basic cable leads to digital cable, digital cable leads to satellite and DVR's and soon your life is consumed by passively staring at yet another screen!!

gawd, i've been thinking lately how nice it would be to not even own a TV ... not that i ever could ...

In this case you are incorrect, I am so NOT doomed. Seriously... first of all, I'm way too cheap for all that. I really am. Plus, I don't want all that extra gear in my house. We were offered digital for just $2 more a month, and I said NO, mostly because I don't want all the equipment taking up space.

Secondly, I seriously only watch a couple of shows and even then I don't keep up with them on a very regular basis online. I pretty much stay off the computer every weekend so that we can get outside, that isn't going to change for TV (I like computers more).

TV frustrates me; most of the programming is garbage. I only like the Food Channel, OLN and my two guilty pleasure shows are Desperate Housewives and ANTM. That's it.
