Finished my first Papercut, more difficult than I thought as there are a lot of fiddly little bits to be worked at and dexterity is a must (something I need to work on) but overall I think it came out OK for my first attempt. I'll try a few more relatively easy ones and see how it goes. It makes me happy anyway, sitting there in my window and I hope to fill up my other windows too.

I am turning into a little old lady with my crafts and my gardening and such and I'm pretty OK with that actually!
4 dirty hippies blowing your mind:
what i love this! how did you make it?
oh, I have a book of patterns - http://www.amazon.com/Paper-Cutouts-Helene-Leroux-Hugon/dp/1554073200 that I got in the bargain section of Chapters ($4,99!!) which was exciting since I always wanted to do this! Anyway, I traced the pattern and then put it over the paper I planned to use and cut it using scissors, an Exacto knife and a hole punch! Oh, the patterns are folded, so it's kind of like the snowflakes you make in grade school!
Ooooh I like this a lot! Very nice.
Thanks! It really is a bit uneven, I need a proper cutting mat so the knife doesn't "drag", but just looking at it in the window without up close scrutiny it works!
