I'm so not a "coo over your baby" type so it actually makes me feel pretty uncomfortable when someone brings their baby to work and all the women start oohing and ahhing and I'm just trying to pretend I don't notice they are here. Does this make me a bad person? Why?
5 dirty hippies blowing your mind:
It doesn't make you a bad person if you don't care about what someone pushed out of their vag. Good for them, they've done what women have been doing forever.
(I am bitter about this topic, can you tell?)
Nah, some people just don't like kids. I adore them, but I don't go bananas over a newborn...why encourage them to shit themselves?
I have only bonded with a couple babies...but I love kids growing up: reading to them, playing hide and seek...listening to them talk...
das jus me though :)
I like kids in general, I think I just don't like the expectation of fawning over babies if that makes any sense...
I've always been the same way. Now, if they bring a PUPPY in, forget about it! then you'll see me cooing and scrabbling!
and then there's that inevitable moment, "want to hold him/her?" No, NO, I really REALLY don't, thanks, while you all look on and I jiggle the kid awkwardly, knowing that now I have to talk crazy baby coo at the top of their head.
I LIKE babies just fine, I just DON'T like the way we are expected to go gaga over them.
And you know what? There ARE ugly babies. I've seen them and I don't think I'm a good liar.
