Ebay Addiction

Feeding the Ebay addiction, latest purchase:

and I pretty much need to have this:

God I love Ebay. I got so many Christmas gifts there, amazing things really. There are a few vintage type stores around my area but they don't really sell anything I particularly like. Hasn't the "Zooey Deschanel cute girl in a frumpy 50's frock that now looks cute because the girl is cute" look died yet?

i'm wondering where this whole fringe-and-stitching, post-Guatemalean, flower-power neo-hippy fashionista vibe has come from ...?!! so very different from your previous neo-gothic post-club look of yore. are you in a state of evolution?

key word there is YORE. I haven't gone out of the house remotely gothy in years...other than the odd fetish party a few years ago. I can't even think of when you would have ever seen me looking even close to that...maybe jeans and a pair of black boots and black shirt? But that strikes me as more bikerish than gothy.

It's actually not really a new phase. I have some photos of me from the late 80's and early 90's with the same vibe; extra long unruly hair, jeans, and multi-colored ethnic tops. Even had a suede fringe hippie jacket if you can imagine.

As far as the home decor thing, I've always been a collector of 60's and 70's kitsch and have always loved the ticky tacky vibe.

i think i always thought your vibe was more Chrissie Hynd than Carole King, but either way yer still a rock star.

Chrissie Hynde? really? that's funny, particularly since I don't particularly enjoy her or the Pretenders! It must be my dark hair. I'll take the Rock star thing though, sure!

Very cute bag!

It ended up going for $75. As I already have one very similar, I gave up the chase, but will keep an eye on some others! In addition to having an Ebay addiction, I also have a purse addiction, sigh.

I keep waiting for the skinny jeans/pants/jeggings look to die. I mean, really.
