So yes, I had the fun and flavour of sushi last night and although it's not necessarily the best tasting idea, will have the leftovers with slightly less fun and flavour for lunch today.
Where I live, there is heavy competition in the sushi business. Our city is quite saturated with sushi restaurants, the majority being all-you-can-eat. This one was not all-you-can-eat but they only charged $13.50 for:
a bowl of Korean porridge (don't know the real name, anybody?)
miso soup
salad
vegetable tempura
a 10 piece sushi roll
4 large pieces of sashimi
2 pieces of sushi
I mean, this is a real bargain. Quality wise, not bad. Certainly not the best I've ever had and the rice could have used some tweaking, but perfectly acceptable for a cheap night out.
I couldn't finish mine, this is a lot of food! I was full by the time I got to the tempura actually.
OK, I apologize for this post. Restaurant "what I ate" posts are boring as crap aren't they.
Yesterday afternoon, I realized I had been walking around with one pant leg kind of rolled up. I'm genuinely clutzY/awkward/off kilter most of the time. Those boots are hot stuff eh?
I also had to wear my glasses as my contacts have been bothering my right eye. Nerd city.
