I keep telling myself to take out a Craigslist ad for a model, and paying them with grilled cheese sannies, but I never do.

I just photograph myself um, obsessively, instead. :)

Alyson: but getting them to cooperate and actually do everything I need...I need people to act things out.

Tony: I shoot strangers every now and then, they don't always know I'm shooting, and some people have told me that is wrong although I personally feel it gives a much better photo.

Well, WHEN you go to Burning Man (not "if"!) you'll be surrounded by so much eye candy it's impossible to ask everyone for permission, and (I believe) acceptable not to. people are nuts about mugging for the camera--you'll LOVE it.

I agree with you--I also prefer it when people don't know I'm taking their photo, if I catch them off guard. It DOES look better.
