80's the Wrong Way

You know what drives me nuts?  When people reminisce about the past (let's use the 80's for this rant) and talk about things that they DIDN'T EVEN LIKE then or at least pretended not to like.  What is that?  I mean, what is that besides deeply annoying and also, well, lame?

Here's an example.  You go on facebook and suddenly you notice that your friend has posted this:



Really? REALLY? Now this is telling me a couple of things. You secretly had the same musical tastes as my mother back then and lied about it. You cried to this at night after Kim dumped you (all girls were named Kim or Jennifer or Lisa in the 80's by the way). AND you seriously must have been damaged by the 80's if you are referencing them in this way.

Ugh.  This is a true story.

*I do like how the girls in the video are all girl power cooperating I mean, wow, that's pseudo-sapphic teamwork and support at it's finest.  Is anyone else REALLY glad that gigantic jean jackets went out of style?
