Am I a Place?

Submitted a couple of shots to a photo contest, I don't usually bother with contests for several reasons:

a. people cheat, especially in something like a photo contest and I have no patience with cheating
b. contests are primarily just ego strokes
c. i dislike the idea of judging art for prizes

I entered this time anyway, for shits and giggles as they say, so we'll see.   It feels like a strike against my principles.  With my writing, I've only ever entered a "contest" once, actually, that one turned out pretty well since it resulted in my piece being published and set to music but beyond that I've only ever submitted work for regular consideration in publications and those credits feel more valid to me somehow.  Maybe that's silly?

Last night went off on a search for a trivia night.  Found one but it was PACKED and felt like test day in highschool.  We wanted the sort of trivia where you use the little boxes and compete against other bars; this one had a guy asking questions over a mic while teams of eager nerds scrawled out answers.  Moving on (are you ready for bad iphone shots?)

Found a bar with lots of (half-ruined) board games, Hedbandz was relatively intact and contained this promising message:

Hedbandz it is. Yeah, you really can't look cool with these things on your head.  Nice one, Abe.

Pierre Trudeau.  She won this round.  Pretty quickly too.  I kinda suck at this game.

Doughnut (I call him that now since that was what he was in one of the games) looks confused.  Or really into it.  Not sure which.
