Welcome To May

How was your weekend?  Mine, OK, could have used some more sun but you take what you get I guess.

Went lighter with my hair, maybe this year I'll go lighter than ever by August for my vacation.  Lighter hair hides grey better, I think that's why lots of older women go blonde, it's a good reason anyway.  Apparently I can be blonde because I was blonde as a kid, that's what  I've read anyway, so it's a maybe.  I think if I do it though, it will be a golden natural blonde shade. My hair is naturally light brown and the new hair growing in that isn't grey is either a blondish brown or a lightish brown. It's been a long time since I've seen my natural hair colour and I suspect it's pretty much all grey now. I've been going grey since I was oh...24?

Has to happen in steps for me, I don't want to completely destroy my hair, I think you can see that it is a little dry already. A little lighter each month? I think so. Right now, it's a light brown/reddish shade. Next step will be to go to an even lighter brown/blonde tone.

It looks lighter in person than in these photos.

Went to the botanical gardens again this weekend, don't you love this?

I stood and tried to picture the farm that once was, I always feel a bit sad when confronted with pasts that are no more (from a history/building perspective I mean).  The Rasberry farm.  I think they spelled Rasberry wrong, but maybe it's a name or something?  Still charming.

The day was kind of grey and rainy but the smell was amaaazing. What is better than a fresh day?

Your hair looks good! I'm going to do that with my hair and-- oh wait, I don't have hair. Sigh.

Ha! In some ways, less hair would probably be a godsend...
