La, la, la, la, take me home

ok here's a little tour of our bedroom, the pictures are just terrible taken with my phone in relative dark but anyway here we go:

oh hey, there's my owl necklace, how very unoriginal of me right? That clock switches through several different colours and also plays water sounds, you talk to it and it tells you the time, temperature etc. soooo futuristic AND groovy!

yellow dresser not that you can tell, there's another clock, Zen clock, bongs instead of screeches, OH hi little hippie bus, you look cute today. Retro lamp doesn't really glow like that at all, weird. Indian elephant wall hanging, maybe predictable but at least it's not tibetan prayer flags, now that would really be predictable!

got that mushroom pic for $2 at Homesense. Score!

jingly fish hanging above the bed, supposed to be outside but I needed them in where i could look at them at will.

little metal birds that hang off the bed frame, one at each end.

really awful shot of me sitting in my wonderland (i feel like an oldster narrating trip slides suddenly)

poster on one side of the room, love these drawings, these are original posters from the fab 60's... drawings are by a woman named Lucia Pearce. It has a verse by Buckminster Fuller on it, says:
  The revolution has come--
set on fire from the top.
Let it burn swiftly.
Neither the branches, trunk, nor roots will be endangered.
Only last year's leaves and
the parasite-bearded moss and orchids
will not be there
when the next spring brings fresh growth
and free standing flowers.

another Lucia Pearce, the words are part of the image (which you really can't see here) and this one says:

O my love
tonight
the sky
is a darkened circus tent above our dreams
and the moon slowly walks a tightrope
into morning.

O.K. tour over, I'm done, see ya later!

love it.

thanks! I'm debating lightening up the wall a bit. The dark used to seem so cosy and I guess it still does, but I'm thinking something a little cheerier would be nice.

1. Love the room!

2. Where did you get that necklace? I've been coveting one just like it from Urban Planet recently.

Alyson - that necklace came from Michaels Crafts. I just bought the owl piece (I think it was like $5)and made my own necklace with it! They actually have a lot of really cool necklace pieces.
