I once dated a guy who had a father who was better looking than he was.   I had never met this father, I'd only seen photos, photos from oh, the seventies I guess.  In these photos, he was very Robert Plant style 60's/70's cool, with wild, sexy hair and lovely angles in his face. 

I wonder now if that didn't persuade me to stay with this guy longer than I should have.  When I think about him now (the guy I dated) I kind of shudder a little, I sort of regret it.  But I still sometimes wonder about that hot retro dad.
