Swinging in the Trees, listening to bees

So I'm already thinking towards the summer, ha you already knew that, when am I NOT? Bought this hammock yesterday, happy colours, fits two people if you want it to, looking forward to setting it up on MANY camping excursions.

I hope we can take some longer camping trips this year, I really want to just hang in the woods, literally and figuratively! Actually, I think I am going to try to go nearly every weekend, perhaps the companions will have to change from time to time but I need my forest getaways. I should probably start booking in the next couple of weeks.

For me the biggest barrier to vacationing is finding the time. I'm not an all-inclusive resort where you just lay by a pool getting drunk sort of vacationer. BOOOORING. I need to do things, see things and the fewer other people around the better. I like roadtripping, A LOT. You can't get a really good roadtrip happening in 2 weeks or less, without quite a bit of planning which to me sort of defeats the purpose. But, I'm going to try.

THAT IS SO FUNNY--I was just telling Josh that our D.I.Y. project this spring is going to be making a hammock (I require neon, of course).

I love the one you chose! Please take 10,000 photos of yourself in it, smiling (for me). :)

As a regular road tripper, I recommend a lack of a plan. An ultimate destination and time to get there is all you need. Also, I highly recommend a GPS. On our last trip from Hamilton to FLA we used the "nearby points of interest" feature and saw some amazing stuff. Even the short trips getting off the main roads just to get to the particular point of interest were great.

B: I agree, I'd prefer NO plan. Didn't you say you had trouble shutting off the weird GPS alert noise? ; )

Liz: THAT I can do!
