Of Dogs, Cats and Evening Skies

Poor Sheldon, slowly recovering from his bladder issues. At least I recognized that he is normally a well-behaved cat so his weird behaviour was a real tip-off!

I don't think I will ever get tired of my yard. Or of this view.  I suppose I should relish it now, that corn is probably getting close to harvest time.

We haven't had a bad sunset yet.

We have had some extremely dark skies though!

I have a very large sugar maple in the front yard.  This photo doesn't really do it justice.

Made a couple of new papercuts for some of the windows.  Going to work on some more elaborate ones on the weekend, but just wanted some simple floral style ones for now.

Like  I said, not a bad sunset yet, and a fire every night.  I love our little fire area, pretty private and nestled back against a vast farm field.

There is one negative.  The neighbours raise spaniels.  And one of those dogs is a barker.  A super annoying, late at night and early morning barker.  An anytime of the day barker.  I am going to buy one of those dog bark silencer thingies and set it up pointed at their place.  I hope it works because I hate that something beyond my control is chipping away at the enjoyment of my country dream.
